Royal Columbian Hospital seeks Registered Nurses skilled in critical care and cardiac surgery for its specialized CSICU in Recent Westminster. Provide 1:1 care for acute patients.

This Registered Nurse position supports cardiac surgical and medical patients in Fraser Health’s 10-bed Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit. Nurses provide care within a high-volume unit supporting more than 25 elective open-heart surgeries weekly. Advanced therapies include ECMO, CRRT, IABP, and open-chest management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate assigned patients’ nursing care
- Collect information through observation, communication, and physical assessment
- Communicate patient care plans with families and healthcare teams
- Document observations, teaching,



and care evaluations accurately
- Maintain safe environments through established emergency procedures

Requirements:

- Approved nursing school graduation and current BCCNM registration
- Critical Care Level 2 completion with cardiac surgery experience
- Two years’ recent acute-care critical-care experience may apply
- Current Basic Rescuer Certificate
- Effective communication, organization, and prioritization abilities
