Role Description The Steel Manufacturing Technician Assistant/Labourer is a full-time, on-site role located in Edmonton, AB. This position supports manufacturing technicians in daily production activities, including handling steel and aluminum materials, loading and unloading equipment, and assisting with machine operation under supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures, performing basic inspections of products, and reporting any issues to the supervisor.



The role may involve measuring and cutting materials, preparing items for shipment, and supporting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards. The position requires working cooperatively with team members to meet production schedules and adapt to changing tasks as needed.

Position Overview

You will assist in the production of steel siding and flashings, build wooden crates, and help maintain a clean, organized shop environment.

Requirements

- Physically fit and able to handle manual labour
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Fluent in English
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to undergo drug testing if required

Preferred Experience (an asset, not required)

- Forklift operation
- Power tools (table saw, mitre saw)
- Pneumatic tools
- Manufacturing or fabrication background
