About the opportunity
Minted Search Group is hiring a Bookkeeper for a privately owned group of holding and real estate companies in Markham. You’ll report directly to the owner and work alongside an established bookkeeper. This is an existing vacancy.

The group is moving from Sage to QuickBooks, so you’ll help shape how the books run going forward.

What you’ll do

- Post journal entries and keep the books current across multiple companies
- Bill tenant rent and track receivables for the real estate companies
- Prepare and file HST returns
- Reconcile credit card statements and split charges to the right companies
- Reconcile bank accounts and report bank balances every couple of weeks
- Manage cash flow between companies and lines of credit
- Process wire transfers and bill payments, including some personal finances for the owner
- Prepare year-end files for the external accountant




- Support the Sage to QuickBooks migration

What you bring

- 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping, ideally across multiple companies
- Sage experience. QuickBooks is a strong asset.
- Hands-on HST filing and bank reconciliations
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Organized, reliable and comfortable with confidential information
- Professional presentation and a strong work ethic
- Real estate or holding company experience is an asset
