Finance Clerk Overview

Responsibilities

- Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payments using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or Workday
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely payments and collections
- Perform data entry tasks with precision to update financial records and transaction logs
- Reconcile accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
- Assist with payroll processing using systems like ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, UltiPro, or PeopleSoft
- Support month-end closing activities by preparing reports and conducting account analysis
- Maintain organized documentation of all financial transactions for audit readiness and compliance





Requirements

- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, and account reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with payroll systems including ADP, Ceridian, Kronos or UltiPro is highly desirable
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic math skills coupled with the ability to perform account analysis and budgeting tasks
- Knowledge of financial services industry standards and practices is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
