About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading global organization, is seeking an Electrician Building Operator to join their team at a 200,000 sq. ft. distribution facility in Markham, Ontario.

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed electrician looking for a stable, long-term role that combines hands-on electrical work with building operations and facility maintenance responsibilities.

You'll become part of a small, collaborative facilities team responsible for maintaining a critical distribution center supporting operations across Canada.

What You'll Be Doing

Electrical Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues throughout the facility
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs within the scope of a 309A license
- Support low-voltage systems and electrical infrastructure
- Assist with equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Participate in preventative maintenance programs

Building Operations Responsibilities

- Perform general building maintenance and repairs
- Complete work orders through a computerized maintenance system
- Support building systems and facility operations
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors as required
- Assist with painting, minor repairs, furniture moves, and other facility-related tasks
- Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures

What We're Looking For





Required Qualifications

- Valid Ontario 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician License
- Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable performing both electrical and general building maintenance work
- Basic computer skills for work order and maintenance management systems
- Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

- Building Operator or Facilities Maintenance experience
- Experience working in industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environments
- Exposure to: PLCs, Conveyors, Automated material handling systems, Vertical Lift Machines (VLMs)
- Experience in regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, healthcare, food production, or manufacturing facilities

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
