General:

We are looking for talented and dedicated people to join our team. You will perform a range of general farm labour and groundskeeping duties

As a member of our team you will work well with others, be creative with excellent problem solving skills and a strong physical work ethic. You will be required to wear PPE appropriate to the task. You will have to work on your own with out supervision and manage you time.

You are required to use power tools and equipment.
A drivers license is beneficial to your employment.

You are required to transport your self to and from work. Your job is located at Belfountain Farm at Caledon, Ontario, Canada.

You will report directly to the Farm Operations Manager and the Farms Working Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities:

- Maintaining site landscaping, roads and paths.
- Maintaining lawns, trees, flowers, flower beds and shrubs
- Triming and pruning trees, vines, hedges and shrubs
- Forest cleaning and maintenance
- Spreading mulches, wood chips and fertilizers
- Operating farm equipment
- Operating small gas engine machines like a chain saw, weed trimmer, hedge trimmer.
- Operating a brush cutter
- Operating and maintaining hand tools such as band saws and pruning tools.
- Operating lawn mowers and lawn maintenance equipment
- Installing fence and crop posts and wires
- Irrigation jobs
- Planting, pruning and general agricultural field and orchard work
- Site maintenance and clean up jobs which may include painting and staining, fence





installation and repair and minor construction laborer tasks.

- Applying pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers
- Harvesting and processing fruits ,berries and crops
- Weeding and soil maintenance
- Post harvest season farm labour including snow removal, leaf raking, geotextile

installation, fire wood harvesting.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or enrollment or appropriate job experience.
- Experience with groundskeeping of farming is an asset
- Valid drivers license an asset
- Proficient in using manual and power tools safely
- Free from allergies that interfere with duties
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work cooperatively and in collaboration with others
- Available to work extended hours and overtime in a flexible work environment
- Physically fit, agile and dexterous. This is a physically demanding job.
- Ability to communicate and read English.

Remuneration:

You will be paid $18.00 per hour and work standard farm laborer hours. All work is subject to the laws and regulations governing agricultural workers in Ontario.

Employees will have to arrange for transportation to and from the work site.

Employees are responsible for providing their own PPE including safety shoes, appropriate clothing to work in fields and rain gear.
