Bross Mobile Mechanic Services is seeking an experienced and skilled Welder to join our heavy truck and trailer repair team.

The ideal candidate takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality welds and has experience performing structural repairs and fabrication. Our primary focus is repairing heavy trucks and trailers, including frames, beams, hangers, and the fabrication of brackets and other components as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Perform GMAW (MIG) and FCAW welding, air carbon arc gouging (Arc Air), and plasma cutting.

· Inspect frames on various types of trailers, including live bottoms, flat decks, tankers, and other equipment.

· Repair cracks in frames, beams, and hangers, including welding patches as required.

· Reinforce frames and beams to support structural integrity.

· Fabricate brackets, mounts, and other components as needed.

· Measure, cut, fit, and weld patches and fabricated components.

· Provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding welding repairs and fabrication.

· Follow established shop procedures, safety practices, and checklists.

· Accurately document all work performed on work orders.





· Communicate professionally and respectfully with coworkers and customers.

Qualifications & Assets

· Experience with plasma cutting.

· Knowledge of rigging procedures and experience operating a crane or forklift are considered assets.

· Experience with aluminum welding is a strong asset.

· Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification is not required but is considered an asset.

· TIG welding experience is not required but is considered an asset.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
