Position Overview:

The Maintenance worker performs routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting tasks to ensure the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and systems remain in excellent working condition. This is a hands-on role that supports the overall guest experience by maintaining a safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

General Maintenance Tasks

- Conduct repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, and masonry work as required.
- Troubleshoot equipment and system malfunctions and complete timely repairs.
- Other duties as assigned by the maintenance manager or general manager

Preventative Maintenance

- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment, tools, and systems.
- Inspect property for potential issues and report the findings to the Manager.
- Replace light bulbs, filters, and other consumables as needed.

Facility Support

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance areas and workshops.
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and building regulations.

Emergency Response & Collaboration

- Provide immediate support during facility emergencies, such as power outages or water leaks.
- Work closely with other hotel departments (e.g., housekeeping, front desk)



to ensure that maintenance needs are addressed promptly, minimizing disruption to hotel operations.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., outdoors, confined spaces).
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Work environment may include exposure to noise dust, and temperature variations.
- The role requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Positive communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Ability to use basic tools and equipment safely and effectively.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
