Apply aerothermal analysis and CFD expertise at Canada Rocket Company, supporting propulsion design for Canada’s first medium-lift launch vehicle.
As a Propulsion Aerothermal Analyst, you will work across design, development, operation, and reuse scenarios. The role combines first-order calculations, CFD, thermal-fluid modelling, and analysis-code development. You will help establish propulsion fluid systems while making detailed design decisions in an iterative hardware development setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design aerothermal propulsion components, including injectors, chambers, nozzles, and valves
- Size cooling channels and assess regenerative, film, and radiation cooling
- Model cryogenic propellant thermal management, chill-down, boil-off, and insulation
- Develop pressurization models and predict ullage behaviour
- Support testing through predictions, reconciliation, and anomaly investigations
Requirements:
- 5+ years in propulsion aerothermal analysis or related areas
- Experience with one-dimensional flow networks or three-dimensional CFD
- Experience analysing cryogenic propellant systems or combustion
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering
- Interest in iterative design-build-test development
Bring propulsion aerothermal, CFD, and thermal-fluid modelling expertise to Canada Rocket Company’s launch vehicle program.
