This Editor-in-Chief role guides Maclean’s next chapter at SJC Media. You will shape content strategy, commission high-impact journalism and lead editors, writers and designers. The mandate includes protecting editorial independence while strengthening relevance for new generations of Canadians.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set editorial direction and content strategy across all platforms
- Commission and oversee investigative features and political commentary
- Lead, mentor and develop a diverse editorial team




- Grow audiences and subscriptions with digital and audience teams
- Uphold journalistic integrity, accuracy and editorial independence

Requirements:

- 10+ years of journalism experience
- At least five years in senior editorial leadership
- Exceptional knowledge of Canadian politics, business and culture
- Proven print and digital audience development experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent skilled experience
