Overview
The Food Service Counter Attendant plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring a clean and efficient food service environment. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations to enhance their dining experience through upselling techniques.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations,
including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during peak hours.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
