Job Summary

Longview ESSO seeks a Store Manager to oversee daily operations at its gas station and convenience store in Longview, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing retail operations, supervising employees, maintaining inventory, monitoring financial performance and ensuring efficient customer service and store operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Direct, control, evaluate and organize daily gas station and convenience store operations.
- Manage employees, assign duties, coordinate work schedules and oversee staff performance.
- Determine staffing requirements and participate in recruitment, hiring and employee training.
- Plan budgets, monitor sales, revenues and operating expenses, and maintain financial records.
- Oversee payroll administration, cash management and daily sales reconciliation.
- Determine merchandise and services to be offered, including convenience-store products.
- Manage inventory, coordinate purchasing, select suppliers and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Implement pricing policies, promotional activities and local marketing strategies.
- Monitor customer demand,



sales trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Resolve customer complaints, supplier issues and inventory shortages.
- Ensure compliance with applicable workplace safety, security and operational procedures.
- Maintain accurate records using point-of-sale systems, inventory software, spreadsheets and other administrative tools.

Qualifications

- Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant retail supervisory or management experience.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience supervising employees and coordinating daily retail operations.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, inventory control, bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
- Solid organizational, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple operational priorities.

Pay: $47.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
