Our healthcare client west of Ottawa is seeking a Financial Analyst for a three-month contract with the possibility of extension. In this role you will report to the head of finance and perform general accounting and finance duties.

The Financial Analyst’s duties will include:
Performing monthly financial reporting and ad hoc analyses
Performing bank reconciliations
Preparing and entering monthly journal entries
Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets
Reconciling deferred grants and donations
Assisting with month-end close
Preparing submissions to provincial and federal stakeholders
Other duties or tasks as assigned

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting
Sound knowledge of Healthcare Accounting and provincial guidelines
Hospital experience a strong asset
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Accounting software packages
Excellent oral and written communication skills
