Overview

The Personal Support Worker provides compassionate, respectful assistance to individuals who need support with daily living. The role may involve care in a private home or a residential setting and focuses on promoting each person’s comfort, dignity, independence, and safety.

Duties

- Assist with personal care and daily routines while respecting individual preferences and privacy.
- Provide senior care and support to individuals with disabilities, adapting assistance to each person’s needs and abilities.
- Offer attentive support to people living with dementia, using patience, clear communication, and consistent routines.
- Assist with medication administration in accordance with care plans, training, and applicable policies.
- Prepare meals and help with eating as needed, following dietary instructions.
- Perform light cleaning and household tasks to maintain a protected, tidy living environment.
- Provide home care and companionship,



and observe and report changes in a person’s condition or routine to the appropriate care team.
- Follow care plans, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Experience

- Previous caregiving experience is preferred.
- Experience in assisted living, a nursing home, or home care is an asset.
- Experience supporting older adults or individuals with disabilities is valued.
- Familiarity with dementia care, medication administration, meal preparation, and light cleaning is beneficial.
- Applicants should be dependable, patient, attentive to detail, and able to communicate respectfully with individuals, families, and care teams.

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
