Job Overview

- We are seeking a friendly, dependable Barista to prepare quality beverages and food while creating a welcoming experience for every guest.
- This role combines customer service, beverage preparation, cashiering, and maintaining a clean, secure service area.
- Prior barista experience is helpful but not required; experience in the food industry, serving, or food service is also welcome.

Duties

- Greet guests, answer questions about menu items, and provide attentive, courteous customer service.
- Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
- Assist with food preparation and serve food items while following food handling and food safety practices.
- Operate a POS system to enter orders and process payments; experience with Micros POS is a plus.
- Perform cashiering and cash handling accurately, including making change and balancing transactions as assigned.
- Use basic math and math skills to process orders and verify payments.
- Keep counters, equipment, dining areas, and workstations clean and organized.
- Restock supplies, monitor product levels, and communicate inventory needs.
- Manage multiple orders efficiently using strong time management skills,



especially during busy periods.
- Follow workplace procedures and applicable food safety and sanitation standards.

Requirements

- Strong communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and professional approach.
- Ability to learn beverage recipes, food preparation procedures, and POS operations.
- Comfort using a POS system; Micros POS experience is an advantage.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and effective time management.
- Ability to follow food handling and food safety practices and maintain a clean work area.
- Previous barista experience or experience in serving, cashiering, the food industry, or food service is preferred but not required.

Pay: $17.95 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 38.0 per week
