JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Tool and Die/Maintenance/R&D; Job Status: Permanent – Full Time

Department: Maintenance Reports To: General Manager

Role Overview

The Tool and Die/Maintenance/ R&D; is responsible for building and maintaining weld and paint line fixtures, machining non CNC parts, overseeing the paint line operation and maintenance , programming the robot welders and some repair of production equipment and facilities as well as first builds on R&D; projects

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the General Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Tool and Die/ Maintenance/ R&D; include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Conceptualize, fabricate and weld parts for Jigs, projects and/or repairs to equipment.
- Install/modify and fabricate parts for infrastructure
- Support production and R&D; activities; and
- Undertake special projects and activities as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment;

- Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Effort Requirements

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to weld and fabricate parts. Machine components and modify CNC programs
- Strong attention to detail;
- Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications;
- Motivated and self-directed;




- Organized and detail oriented;
- Problem-solving skills;
- Reliable and punctual; and
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, assembly.

Minimum Requirements

· Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment;

· Skilled in welding;

· Skilled in Machining

· Experience with G code programming and robotic programming is an asset

· Experience with Microsoft Office is an asset;

This position interfaces with internal and external contacts:

· Internal: President, General Manager, Engineering, Supervisors

· External: None

Working Conditions

This role mainly works out of a dynamic factory setting and requires daily computer work (research, typing, etc.) This role requires frequent use of larger muscle groups (walking, standing, lifting, bending) to oversee duties of the role. This role requires daily attention to multiple priorities and competing demands.

This role works out of the Seaforth location with no travel requirements.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
