Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Retail Merchandiser to support in-store execution across major grocery retailers including Walmart, Sobeys/FreshCo, and No Frills (Loblaw banners). This role is responsible for maintaining strong shelf presence, executing planograms, supporting promotions, and ensuring products are merchandised to retailer standards.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising & Store Execution

- Execute planograms (POGs) accurately according to retailer standards
- Ensure correct product placement, shelf facings, pricing, and signage
- Maintain on-shelf availability and reduce out-of-stocks
- Set up and maintain secondary displays, end caps, and promotional features
- Rotate stock using FIFO and maintain clean, organized shelves

Promotions & Displays

- Execute flyer and promotional programs on time
- Support new product launches with proper shelf placement
- Install and remove point-of-sale and promotional materials

Store Relationships

- Build positive working relationships with store managers and department teams
- Communicate store-level issues, opportunities, and competitor activity

Reporting & Compliance

- Report pricing issues, out-of-stocks, and planogram gaps
- Capture store photos and provide execution updates




- Follow all safety protocols and maintain professional conduct

Requirements

- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Valid G driver’s license with clean driving record
- Access to a reliable personal vehicle
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable traveling between multiple store locations
- Able to work flexible hours (early mornings/evenings as needed)
- Physically able to stand, bend, kneel, and work on feet for extended periods
- 100% field-based role (no remote or office work)

Qualifications (Assets)

- Previous retail merchandising experience
- Experience working with Walmart, Sobeys, or Loblaw banners
- Understanding of planograms and retail execution standards
- Experience in CPG/FMCG environments
