The Role

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Mill Operator works a key member of the operations team to clean, package and ship quality seed. The Mill Operator will be a contributing team player in helping NSG reach our goals.

Responsibilities

- Ensure a safe work environment.
- Operate seed cleaning, blending and packaging equipment.
- Transporting seed around the facility using a forklift.
- Loading seed for shipments using a forklift and manually.
- Work with Seed Analyst to ensure NSG products meet quality standards.
- Document and track inventory.
- General maintenance of equipment, warehouse, yard site, and office building are well maintained.
- These responsibilities may not be all encompassing as described, and responsibilities may evolve with our company.

Work Environment





- Full-time hours, with potential for overtime shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Work is physically demanding and will involve hot and cold temperatures, dust, and noise.
- Successful candidate will safely and efficiently operate machinery and forklifts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Team player with a solid work ethic and willingness to help.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy items (>50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and to keep the work area clean.
- Proven track record to take direction and communicate effectively with team members.
- Valid driver’s license.

Starting wage to be determined by experience, qualifications and ability.
