Ajax Family Practice & Walk-In Clinic is seeking a compassionate, clinically confident Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. This role offers a varied mix of routine primary care, same-day and walk-in visits, preventive health, follow-ups, and chronic disease management.

With an established patient population, consistent patient flow, and strong administrative support, you’ll have the opportunity to build patient relationships while helping meet the community’s need for accessible, high-quality care.

Your Role

As a Nurse Practitioner on our team, you will:

- Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients across the lifespan.
- Provide same-day and walk-in care for common acute and episodic concerns.
- Deliver routine primary care, preventive care, and chronic disease management.
- Order and interpret investigations and prescribe within your NP scope of practice.
- Provide patient education, counselling, and appropriate follow-up.
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with physicians when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate,



timely clinical documentation using OSCAR EMR.

You are comfortable working independently within your scope, value physician collaboration, and can manage a consistent patient flow while ensuring patients feel heard and well cared for.

The ideal candidate will bring:

- Confidence managing common primary care and same-day presentations
- Comfort caring for both adults and children
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, prescribing, and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and patient-care skills
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to thoughtful, compassionate care

Qualifications

- Current Nurse Practitioner (RN-EC) registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Appropriate NP education and certification for primary healthcare practice in Ontario
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, community health, urgent care, or a walk-in setting is preferred
- Experience with OSCAR or another electronic medical record system is an asset
