Do you have experience as a Snow Removal Crew Member and looking for stability with an established company?

As a Snow Removal Crew Member, you will be responsible to take direction from your Crew Lead at each site while performing the snow removal job duties.

Snow Removal duties will require the use of snow blowers, backpack blowers, snow throwers, snow shovels, and other snow removal-related equipment.

Job Duties

- Must be able to operate machinery sweepers safely and effectively, backpack blowers, shovels, and other pertinent tools and equipment.
- Performing snow checks at each property to ensure ice issues have been dealt with and the snow has been removed from end to end of the sidewalk, for the satisfaction of our residents.
- Completing all snow removal maintenance work orders as given by your Crew Lead.
- Ensure proper disposal of garbage and debris from the properties during weekly site checks.
- icing and removal of snow from sidewalks, driveways, garbage enclosures, handicap stalls for various residential properties.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, while ensuring the property is not being damaged in the efforts of snow removal.
- Maintain and care for the company’s equipment, tools, vehicles, and trailers.
- Safely and appropriately distribute ice melt when required
- Respond to calls or text messages to confirm the shift
- It is required all team members have cold-weather gear and wear it appropriately to protect themselves against the cold weather conditions
- Must be punctual. Arrive on time for your shifts. Arriving late or no shows due to ineffective transportation etc. will not be tolerated.
- Must be flexible with hours (snow removal is on-call/standby position)
- Understand the proper use of personal protective equipment




- Ensuring the companies policies and procedures are applied daily and always followed.
- All health & safety requirements are followed.
- Must be able to work on own or part of a crew and have good time management skills to ensure all needs are met within the company on-time
- Safely lift 60 pounds on own, without assistance.
- Ability to have an open and honest conversation, provide and receive constructive feedback

The company will give as much notice to employees when they are on standby for snow

We supply safety glasses, safety vest and you are required to bring your own safety-approved (steel toe) boots.

Work Conditions

- Outdoors and regularly subjected to changing weather conditions i.e. wet and/or heavy snowfalls and extreme cold temperatures.
- Icy conditions; ensure safety when walking on and around the ice
- Physical stresses include standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Possibility for irregular hours due to unexpected circumstances; weather, scheduling, etc.

Requirements

- 1 years' experience as a Snow Removal Crew Member; not necessary but an asset
- Experience with a variety of snow removal equipment
- Reliable Transportation to arrive on time each shift
