Duties
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers safely to load, unload, and transport goods throughout the warehouse
- Perform heavy lifting tasks with proper technique to maintain safety and efficiency
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update stock records accurately
- Conduct order picking with precision to fulfill customer orders promptly and correctly
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring cargo is handled carefully and securely
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse floor to promote safety and productivity
- Conduct routine inspections on equipment such as forklifts and clamp trucks to ensure optimal functioning and report any mechanical issues promptly
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with forklift operation is highly advantageous
- Basic math skills are necessary for counting, measuring, and verifying inventory quantities
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards
- Knowledge of order picking procedures and equipment operation enhances efficiency in fulfilling orders
