Hawkeye Line Locators Inc. is a growing Canadian company looking for an experienced Senior Line Locator to join our team in the Red Deer area.

This is a full-time, long-term field position for an experienced locator who takes pride in their work, values safety, and can work independently while contributing to a strong team environment.

Hawkeye provides a variety of services across Alberta, including new pipeline locating, One Call utility locates, Orphan Well Association (OWA) projects, and inspection work. With a large and growing client base, we offer consistent opportunities for experienced locators to contribute to a wide range of projects.

We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and knowledgeable individual who can deliver quality work, communicate effectively with clients and team members, and help maintain the high standards our clients expect.

Pay

Job Duties

- Perform pipeline and utility locating using appropriate locating equipment and established procedures.
- Complete new pipeline locates, One Call utility locates, OWA projects, and other assigned field work.
- Interpret pipeline and utility records, maps, drawings, and other relevant documentation.
- Accurately mark and identify buried pipelines and utilities while following applicable client and industry requirements.
- Complete field documentation, reports, and job records accurately and in a timely manner.




- Maintain locating equipment, company vehicles, and other assigned tools.
- Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, landowners, and team members.
- Follow all company, client, and site-specific safety procedures.
- Work independently in the field while maintaining communication with management and other crew members.
- Help support and guide junior locators or assistants when required.

Requirements

- Previous oilfield pipeline and/or utility line locating experience.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
- Valid H2S certification.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safe, accurate locating practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying Alberta weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently, manage assigned tasks, and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Willingness to travel and complete occasional out-of-town work as required.
