About The Position

Nahanni Construction Ltd. is seeking heavy equipment operators to work on a rotational basis out of our remote site at Lynn Lake Mine in Manitoba. Employees are provided with camp accommodations at the project site for the duration of their work rotation.

Successful candidates will work on a rotational basis and will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment to support road construction, earthmoving, grading, excavation, and related civil construction activities.

We are seeking operators with experience operating one or more of the following types of equipment:

- Loaders
- Excavators
- Dozers
- Rock Trucks
- End Dumps

Candidates must be comfortable working in a remote construction workplace and assisting with general site activities when not operating equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate heavy equipment to support access road construction, earthworks, and associated civil construction activities.
- Perform excavation, stripping, grading, backfilling, hauling, and placement of earth and aggregate materials.
- Assist with roadbed preparation, embankment construction, ditching, and drainage works as required.
- Operate equipment efficiently while maintaining required grades, elevations,



and project specifications.
- Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and routine equipment maintenance checks.
- Identify and report equipment deficiencies, unsafe conditions, and maintenance requirements.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, grade crews, and other equipment operators to maintain safe and efficient production.
- Follow all company safety policies, environmental requirements, and site-specific procedures.
- Assist with general labour and miscellaneous site duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience operating heavy equipment on earthworks, road construction, mining, or heavy civil construction projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency operating one or more of the equipment types listed above.
- Experience with access road construction, site preparation, grading, and bulk earthmoving is considered an asset.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in challenging terrain and varying ground conditions.
- Experience working in remote locations and on rotational schedules is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of safe equipment operating practices, including pre-use inspections and hazard identification.
- Ability to follow directions, communicate effectively, and work as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Must be physically capable of performing assigned duties and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to comply with all site-specific safety and access requirements.
