Wage: Competitive pay based on qualifications and experience.
As a Junior Design Engineer you will be involved in and be responsible for:
· Completion of fabrication drawings and related documentation for steel shipping racks, that meet or exceed customer expectations
· Development and maintenance of 3D Models, project bills of materials, drawing packages, and related project documentation
· Assist with quoting and purchasing activities for project requirements
· Working with suppliers and updating project schedules
· Assist in monitoring quality of product
· Provide support to production and Quality Assurance Department
· Resolve product design and quality issues
· Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously at various stages from start to completion
Successful candidates for this position will have:
· Strong working knowledge of Solidworks and Microsoft Office Programs is required
· Good knowledge of steel fabrication materials and manufacturing processes an asset
· Experience with product design and development an asset
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a College Diploma in Engineering Technology, or related work experience is an asset but not required
· Creative, but methodical thinker and problem solver
· Strong communication skills
· Self-motivated, results oriented, and budget minded
· Proven ability to received feedback and apply it to future tasks
· Exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
