Overview

The Automotive Parts Counter Associate supports customers, technicians, and service teams by identifying and supplying the right parts for repair and maintenance needs. This customer-facing role combines product knowledge, accurate order fulfillment, and sales support in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Responsibilities

- Provide attentive customer service in person and by phone, using professional phone etiquette and explicit communication.
- Identify parts based on vehicle information, customer needs, and repair requirements; consult catalogs and inventory systems as needed.
- Process purchases, returns, and orders using POS systems, with accurate cashiering and cash handling.
- Support retail sales by explaining product options, answering questions, and using appropriate sales and negotiation skills.
- Coordinate order fulfillment, including checking availability, placing orders, receiving parts, and organizing pickups or deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory and transaction records.




- Keep the parts area organized and clean and support routine maintenance of displays, tools, and workspaces.
- Assist with marketing activities, sales management tasks, and other store or department operations as assigned.
- Apply basic math and strong organizational skills to verify quantities, pricing, and order details.
- Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

Experience

- Customer service, retail sales, sales, cashiering, or cash-handling experience is preferred.
- Automotive experience and familiarity with automotive parts, repair or maintenance are helpful.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with attention to detail, are important.
- Ability to learn automotive parts terminology and product lookup procedures is required.

Pay: $17.90-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
