Actalent seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software for military products. The work includes helicopter handling, vision, and winch systems used on ships and submarines. You will translate requirements, support testing, and collaborate with software developers and electrical engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain embedded software for military products
- Translate functional requirements into defined software capabilities
- Prepare software requirements, design, and test documents
- Participate in code reviews and structured coding practices
- Provide deployed-system support with some customer-site travel
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of embedded C development experience
- Knowledge or experience with VxWorks real-time operating systems
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with Git and cooperative version control
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or mission-critical systems
