- Lead compensation, advantages, HRIS, and HR compliance while ensuring alignment with employment legislation, collective agreements, and organizational policies.
- Champion employee engagement, retention, wellness, and organizational culture initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to modernize HR processes, improve efficiencies, and help shape the continued evolution of the HR function.
- Support occupational health and safety initiatives, including committee participation and legislative compliance.
- Own all regulatory HR compliance requirements, including mandatory filings, employment legislation, pay equity reporting, and organizational HR record management, ensuring deadlines are met accurately and on time.
- Represent YQM externally at career fairs, community events,

and networking opportunities while promoting careers in aviation and positioning the airport as an employer of choice.
- Collaborate with HR professionals across the Vantage Group network and other Canadian airports to share best practices and leverage industry expertise.

What We Are Looking For:

- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a diploma in Human Resources Management from a recognized post-secondary institution. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 10 + years of HR experience including 8 + years of demonstrated experience leading the full spectrum of human resources, including employee relations, recruitment, organizational development, performance management, compensation, and leadership coaching.
- Experience with labour relations, collective agreement administration, and employment legislation; collective bargaining experience is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a highly regulated workplace is considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in French is considered an asset.
- A proactive relationship builder who enjoys being visible throughout the organization and is comfortable engaging with employees at every level.
- A collaborative, approachable, and solutions-oriented leadership style with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Proven experience balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational responsibilities in a hands‑on HR environment.
