Job Overview

We are seeking a creative, client-focused Hair Stylist to provide professional hair services and create a welcoming salon experience. The ideal candidate combines strong hair styling skills with excellent customer service, clear communication, and attention to cleanliness. This role may also support front desk tasks and retail sales as part of the salon’s daily operations.

Responsibilities

- Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable styles, and set clear expectations.
- Provide hair services such as cutting, styling, blow-drying, and other services aligned with your training and qualifications.
- Maintain a friendly, professional client experience through attentive service and strong communication skills.
- Recommend appropriate hair-care products and support retail sales through helpful, informed guidance.
- Identify relevant services or products clients may appreciate, using a consultative approach to upselling.
- Assist with front desk duties as needed, such as welcoming clients,



managing appointments, and keeping the reception area organized.
- Clean and sanitize tools, workstations, and shared areas in accordance with salon procedures and applicable health and safety standards.
- Keep up to date with salon services, products, and styling techniques.

Experience

- Previous salon experience or relevant training in hair styling is preferred.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to build positive client relationships.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a professional, collaborative approach.
- Familiarity with sanitation practices for salon tools and work areas.
- Retail sales, product recommendations, or front desk experience is an asset.
- A current professional license is required where applicable.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
