About the Role

As a Server with Long Beach Lodge Resort, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our West Coast dining experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding F&B; offerings makes guests of the Great Room feel unique and valued. As a member of the F&B; team at the Lodge, you are dedicated to the overall success of the team as a whole and are open to working in a variety of capacities as needed, events included.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide skilled, friendly, and attentive service to all guests
- Ensure guest satisfaction through prompt issue resolution and follow-up
- Guide guests through food and beverage menus; confidently answer questions and make recommendations
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, specials, and features
- Practice responsible alcohol service in compliance with regulations
- Use proper serving techniques and uphold safety and sanitation standards
- Assist teammates by running food and beverages, clearing tables, and supporting service flow
- Complete all opening, closing, and shift duties efficiently and accurately
- Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of Long Beach Lodge events, ensuring a smooth and memorable guest experience




- Handle guest complaints professionally and involve leadership as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all service and storage areas
- Follow all cash handling, cash-out, and tip-out procedures precisely
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of resort amenities and services to assist guests with inquiries and enhance their overall experience
- Abide by workplace conduct policies, including no device use during service
- Represent Long Beach Lodge in a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a fine dining environment
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and a positive, service-oriented attitude
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Solid understanding of fine cuisine, cocktails, wine pairings, and high-level service standards
- Proficient in cash handling and basic accounting procedures
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems considered an asset
- Valid Serving It Right certification

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, and be active for up to 10 hours per shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
