Operate critical steam and utility systems as a 4th Class Operating Stationary Engineer at Stelco’s Lake Erie facility in Nanticoke, Ontario.

This permanent position reports to the Area Manager- Operations within Stelco’s highly industrial, unionized setting. You will support secure production by operating steam, environmental, production, water treatment, gas, and HVAC equipment. The work includes chemical analysis, permits, isolations, and maintenance support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain low- and high-pressure steam systems
- Support production units including turbines, pumps, and compressors
- Analyze process water and adjust treatment systems
- Issue confined space entry permits and safe work permits
- Assist with maintenance planning, repairs, and energy control procedures

Requirements:

- TSSA 4th Class Operating Engineer Certificate
- Minimum two-year experience in an industrial environment
- Ability to respond quickly to process upsets
- Ability to negotiate plant areas, stairs, ladders, and barriers
- Driver’s license and vehicle required to access the facility
