Preventive health nursing awaits with Government of Yukon in Whitehorse, delivering immunization, screening, assessment, and counseling services. This full time term position includes Yukon travel.

As a Community Health Nurse, you will report to the Nurse in Charge within Community Nursing. Your work will support individuals, groups, families, and communities through preventive health strategies. The position emphasizes health promotion, illness prevention, community development, breastfeeding education, and infant nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver screening, assessment, and immunization services
- Provide education, consultation, and health counseling
- Promote community health and wellbeing through preventive strategies




- Visit clients in their homes across Yukon
- Work independently and within a diverse team

Requirements:

- Current registration with a Canadian nursing regulatory authority
- Recent public health nursing or related experience
- Knowledge of community health programs and immunization delivery
- Knowledge of breastfeeding best practices and infant nutrition
- Valid driver’s licence, CPR HCP, and WHMIS
