· You will be working in a busy outpatient cardiology practice in downtown Toronto (East end).

· The work week will consist initially of 3 days per week (8 hour workday) with potential for full-time.

· Competitive salary with significant vacation time (4 weeks per year).

Education and Training:

- Graduate of a recognized program in Diagnostic Medical Adult Sonography
- Registered with A.R.D.M.S. and/or C.A.R.D.U.P.
- Certification in Cardiac Imaging and adult echocardiography.
- Follow complete protocol as per Cardiac Care Network requirements for perform adult sonography.

Duties

- Work independently performing Echocardiograms (including utilizing contrast) as well as ability to perform stress echocardiograms as per CCN protocol in a busy cardiology practice.
- Contacting and reviewing with cardiologist regarding critical pathology findings (as per policy)
- Operate state-of-the-art GE echocardiographic machine (Vivid E95)



for imaging and software to create preliminary reports and adjusting settings for optimal image quality. Basic troubleshooting when required.
- Prepare accurate reports for physician interpretation.
- Effective communication (written and verbal), organization and interpersonal skills.
- Explaining the investigation to patients in a kind and reassuring manner.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and participate in routine maintenance to ensure operational excellence.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology essential for accurate imaging and reporting.
- A proficiency in performing standard transthoracic echocardiograms (including usage of contrast) and stress echocardiography.
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with medical staff.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to patient care, safety standards, and continuous learning in the evolving field of cardiac imaging.

Pay: $36.00-$46.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
