Job Overview

Spark by Hilton Oshawa is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Part time Housekeeper (On-Call) to join our housekeeping team. This position is part-time, with shifts offered on an on-call basis according to operational needs, occupancy levels, and staffing requirements. Availability may vary from week to week, and hours are not guaranteed.

The successful candidate will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction by ensuring guest rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and welcoming.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned public areas in accordance with hotel standards.
- Change bed linens, make beds, replenish guest supplies, and ensure rooms are tidy and presentable.
- Perform deep-cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Follow Hilton brand standards and all applicable health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, lost and found items, and other concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Complete assigned rooms within established time standards while maintaining quality.
- Properly use and care for cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
- Follow housekeeping procedures and instructions provided by the supervisor or management.
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and guest-focused attitude at all times.
- Assist with other housekeeping-related duties as required.





Requirements and Qualifications

- Previous housekeeping, hotel, custodial, or cleaning experience is preferred.
- Hotel housekeeping experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a quick-paced environment.
- Valuable organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, schedules, and established procedures.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stretch, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures is an asset.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to work adaptable shifts based on operational requirements.

Employment Details

- Employment Status: Part-Time, On-Call
- Work Schedule: Shifts offered as needed, based on hotel occupancy and staffing requirements.
- Hours: Variable hours.
- Availability: Flexibility to accept shifts when required, including weekends and holidays, is preferred.
