Job Overview

The RFP Manager – Security Services leads the development and delivery of persuasive, accurate proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and other client opportunities. This role works across sales, operations, marketing, and business development to present the organization’s security services clearly and tailor each submission to the client’s needs. The ideal candidate is an organized project manager and strong communicator who can coordinate multiple deadlines while maintaining high standards for quality and compliance.

Duties

- Manage the proposal process from opportunity review and kickoff through writing, review, approval, and submission.
- Analyze RFP requirements, identify submission criteria and risks, and develop response plans, schedules, and content outlines.
- Coordinate input from sales, operations, legal, finance, and subject-matter experts; track assignments and follow up to keep deliverables on schedule.
- Write, edit, and format clear, client-focused responses that explain security services, operating approaches, qualifications, and differentiators.
- Ensure proposals address all requirements, follow instructions, and meet quality, consistency, and brand standards.
- Maintain and improve a library of approved proposal content, service descriptions, case studies, and supporting materials.
- Partner with sales and business development teams to understand client priorities and strengthen proposal strategy.
- Support presentations, client meetings, and follow-up materials related to proposal opportunities.




- Track proposal activity and outcomes in Salesforce or another customer relationship management (CRM) system, and use insights to improve future submissions.
- Identify process improvements and share lessons learned with relevant teams.

Skills

- Demonstrated experience managing complex proposals, RFPs, or similar projects, preferably in security services or a related business-to-business environment.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to organize contributors, manage competing deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent writing, editing, research, and presentation skills, with the ability to make technical or operational information clear and compelling.
- Knowledge of sales, marketing, and business development processes, including how proposals support client acquisition and retention.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and customer relationship management (CRM) practices.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to gather input and guide reviews across teams.
- Negotiation skills and sound judgment when aligning client requirements with service capabilities.
- Proficiency with common document, spreadsheet, and presentation tools; experience with proposal-management platforms is an advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field—or equivalent relevant experience—is preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
