Ascent Speech Therapy is a child development centre operating in Markham, Ontario. We provide a supportive and inclusive community for child families to learn and grow at our centre.
- Work in collaboration with team members
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and families
- Follow a treatment plan created by a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Provide treatment to clients at the clinic
Qualifications Future SLP OR Graduate Certificate as a Communicative Disorders Assistant
- ABA(Behaviour intervention) skills preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong group facilitation skills. This position will require facilitating various activities with groups of individuals.
- Experience with program planning and implementation.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
- Experience working with individuals with a variety of needs and diagnoses.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn.
- Experience working with children with speech, language or literacy concerns.
- Ability to create and carry out engaging therapy sessions.
- Ability to adapt to a wide range of client needs.
- Flexibility and time management skills to manage a continually changing caseload.
- Proficient in computer skills (Word, Powerpoint, Boardmaker, Social Media)
- Experience with AAC an asset.

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
