Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Sales Representative & Meat Cutter to support daily retail operations in a food-service setting. This hands-on role combines friendly customer service and product sales with meat cutting, food preparation, packaging, and safe handling practices. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality work, follows food-safety procedures, and works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers, answer questions, and help them select products based on their needs.
- Provide attentive, professional customer service and maintain a clean, organized sales area.
- Cut, trim, portion, and prepare meat products according to product specifications and customer requests.
- Use knives and other cutting equipment safely and carefully.
- Package, label, and store products properly to maintain quality and freshness.
- Follow established food safety and food handling procedures, including sanitation, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention.
- Keep workstations, tools, equipment, and display areas clean and orderly.
- Assist with receiving, organizing,



and rotating inventory as needed.
- Communicate with team members to support smooth service and consistent product quality.

Experience

- Experience in the food industry, food preparation, or a customer-facing retail role is preferred.
- Previous butchery or meat cutting experience is an asset; candidates with related kitchen experience are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with safe food handling, sanitation, and packaging practices is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-first approach.
- Ability to follow instructions, maintain a clean work area, and work collaboratively in a busy environment.
- Willingness to learn role-specific procedures and safely handle cutting tools and equipment.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 42.0 per week
