Job Overview:
FlooReno, an interior renovations company specializing in flooring installations and interior renovations, is seeking an experienced Interior Flooring Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting exact flooring measurements, estimating material and labor costs, and managing flooring projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various flooring materials including carpet, laminate, hardwood, engineered hardwood, carpet tiles, vinyl glue-down, vinyl click, and self-levelling installations. The Project Estimator will report directly to the Project Manager and will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely completion of flooring projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Flooring Measurements & Takeoffs: Perform accurate site measurements and takeoffs for residential and commercial projects, including a variety of flooring materials (carpet, laminate, hardwood, engineered hardwood, carpet tiles, vinyl glue-down, vinyl click, self-levelling).
- Estimate Preparation: Calculate material and labor costs, preparing detailed estimates for flooring installations based on measurements and project requirements.
- Client & Project Coordination: Communicate directly with clients, sales reps, and project teams to schedule and coordinate estimates, site visits, and meetings.
- Project Documentation:



Assist in the preparation of project quotes, contracts, and proposals. Ensure all project documentation is updated, including cost estimates, schedules, and payments.
- Scheduling & Budgeting: Update project schedules as directed by the Project Manager, assisting with labor planning and tracking project progress. Ensure accurate budgeting and cost control for each flooring project.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with sales reps, installers, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution from initial estimate to final installation.
- Fieldwork: Travel to job sites to take measurements, assess conditions, and verify the feasibility of the proposed flooring solutions.
- Job Estimation: Assist with estimating additional renovation tasks and provide input to pricing based on scope, materials, and labor.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

- Must Have Drivers License – Travel to various job sites is required (company vehicle provided from office).
- Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on flooring or related renovation fields.
- Flooring Knowledge: A solid background in flooring installations, including carpet, laminate, hardwood, engineered hardwood, vinyl glue-down, vinyl click, self-levelling, and carpet tiles.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read architectural drawings,



floor plans, and technical specifications to accurately estimate material and labor needs.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients, sales reps, contractors, and project teams.
- Sales Experience (Optional): Sales experience in flooring or renovation is a plus.
- Proficiency in Office Software: Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic estimating software.
- Certifications: Valid G2 or G driver’s license is required.

Compensation:

- Salary: $3,600.00 - $4,000.00
- Commission Pay: Additional compensation based on project sales and performance.
