Woodfire Restaurant on beautiful Gabriola Island is looking for friendly, reliable and hardworking individuals to strengthen our front-of-house team as we prepare for the busy winter and festive season.

We are currently accepting applications for Servers, Hosts, Bussers and Bartenders.

We're looking for enthusiastic team players who enjoy working with people, take pride in providing excellent customer service and bring a positive, professional attitude to work every day.

Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but not essential for all positions. We're happy to consider applicants with the right attitude, a strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the position, responsibilities may include:

- Welcoming guests and providing friendly, attentive service.
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serving food and beverages while maintaining high hospitality standards.
- Assisting with seating, reservations and guest inquiries.
- Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables.
- Preparing and serving beverages, where appropriately qualified.
- Maintaining a clean, organized and welcoming restaurant environment.
- Working collaboratively with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.

- Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not essential for all roles.
- Serving It Right certification for applicable positions, or willingness to obtain it before undertaking duties that require certification.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential.

Location & Employment Requirements

This position is based on Gabriola Island, British Columbia.

Applicants must be able to travel reliably to and from the restaurant for all scheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Candidates living on Gabriola Island, with accommodation arranged locally, or able to commute reliably from Nanaimo are welcome to apply.
