We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager located in Mississauga ON. This position will be responsible for overall day-to-day accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial oversight: Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
- Financial reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Budgeting and planning: Coordinate the annual budget process and assist with financial planning.
- Compliance and audit: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, coordinate external audits, and manage tax filings.
- Team leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and manage accounting staff.
- Process improvement: Develop and implement recent accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Financial analysis: Provide financial analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making by senior management.
- Manage HR and Office Administration activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
A bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Certification: An accounting designation (e.g., CPA) is highly desirable
Required Experience:
- Over 10 years experience in handling full set of books and tasks (include but not limited to AP & AR, GL, account reconciliation)
- Must demonstrate experience and knowledge in inventory accounting
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Cantonese/Mandarin is an advantage for liaison with our Singapore and Hong Kong offices.
- Strong experience with financial systems and ERP software
- Proven ACCPAC 5.2 / SAGE 300 ERP experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under high pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Inventory Accounting: 3 years (required)
