Job Summary

- The Vending Machine Operator is responsible for keeping assigned vending machines clean, stocked, accurately priced, and ready for customers.
- This hands-on role includes traveling between locations, managing inventory, maintaining product displays, and providing courteous service to site contacts and customers.
- The position requires regular physical activity, including lifting and carrying products. Training on company procedures and equipment will be provided.

Duties

- Drive to assigned locations (car may be provided) and service vending machines according to route schedules.
- Replenish products, rotate stock, and remove expired or damaged items.
- Clean machines and surrounding areas; report equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Check product selections, update pricing, and verify machine displays and inventory records for accuracy.
- Arrange products neatly and attractively using merchandising best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs.
- Respond professionally to customer questions and location requests, and help resolve routine service concerns.
- Identify opportunities to recommend popular products or improve selections through appropriate upselling and sales practices.




- Maintain organized route, inventory, and service records.
- Follow safe driving, lifting, food-handling, and workplace procedures.

Skills

- Customer service: Friendly, qualified, and responsive when interacting with customers and site contacts.
- Communication skills: Able to share updates clearly and listen carefully to requests.
- Organizational skills: Able to manage inventory, service tasks, records, and route schedules reliably.
- Commercial driving: Experience driving for work is helpful; a valid driver’s license and safe driving habits may be required for route duties.
- Merchandising: Able to arrange products neatly and maintain appealing displays.
- Pricing and math: Comfortable checking prices, counting inventory, and completing basic calculations accurately.
- Sales and upselling: Able to recognize customer preferences and make appropriate product recommendations.
- Heavy lifting: Able to safely lift and carry product cases and supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay: $16.94-$24.65 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
