WE ARE HIRING – PRIVATE HOUSEKEEPER / HOUSEHOLD ASSISTANT

Location: Guelph, Ontario
Schedule: Every Monday and Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility to stay longer when required)
Payment: By cheque only – NO CASH payments

We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, highly organized, and experienced Housekeeper / Household Assistant to help manage and maintain a private residence.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking care of a home, is proactive, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in keeping everything clean, organized, and running smoothly.

We are looking for someone who can take full responsibility for day-to-day household tasks, recognize what needs to be done without constant direction, and treat the home with the same care and attention as their own.

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping & Cleaning

- Complete general and deep cleaning throughout the home.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all living areas.
- Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common spaces.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and maintain bedrooms.
- Wash, dry, fold, iron, and put away clothing and linens.
- Maintain closets, cupboards, drawers, and storage areas.
- Keep the entire home tidy, fresh, and well-organized.

Household Management & Daily Assistance

- Grocery shopping and maintaining household supplies.
- Prepare light meals, snacks, tea, and coffee as needed.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized.




- Monitor household essentials and replenish supplies.
- Organize household items and maintain order throughout the home.
- Assist with other everyday household errands and tasks.

Outdoor & General Maintenance

- Perform light gardening and keep outdoor areas tidy.
- Maintain patios, entrances, and outdoor furniture.
- Keep vehicles clean and tidy inside.
- Assist with seasonal household organization and upkeep.
- Identify and report any maintenance concerns.

Qualifications & Expectations:

- Previous experience in private housekeeping or household management is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills are essential.
- Trustworthy, discreet, dependable, and respectful of privacy.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and robust time-management skills.
- Willingness to take initiative and assist with a variety of household responsibilities.
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with changing daily priorities.
- Valid driver's licence preferred for grocery shopping and errands.

Position Details:

- Days: Monday and Friday.
- Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with additional hours when needed.
- Payment: By cheque only. Cash payments are not available.
- Workplace: Private residence in Guelph.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
