Design secure enterprise firewalls remotely for BMO’s Network Delivery Engineering team, using Check Point, Juniper, routing, and automation expertise. Office presence may be required in Scarborough or Barrie, Ontario.

This Senior Firewall Engineer contract supports on-premises and cloud infrastructure across the enterprise. You will design, build, deploy, evaluate, and maintain firewall infrastructure while partnering with technology teams and vendors. The work focuses on resilient services, secure network designs, and business-aligned delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and deploy current and future firewall infrastructure
- Support secure network designs and disaster recovery capabilities
- Diagnose complex network and firewall issues
- Track vulnerabilities, patch assets,



and apply lifecycle updates
- Coordinate production changes, releases, testing, and validation

Requirements:

- Typically five to seven years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary degree or equivalent education and experience
- Hands-on Check Point, Juniper, or similar firewall experience
- Solid routing, switching, and network protocol knowledge
- IPSec, NAT, VPN, Cisco, scripting, and automation experience
