The Farm Underwriter reports to the Director of Underwriting & Analytics and supports the Underwriting team. You will assess current business, renewals, and endorsements while applying insurance knowledge to underwrite, rate, and document policy files. The work requires farm or agribusiness underwriting experience, sound judgment, and strong communication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess new business, renewals, and endorsements
- Underwrite, rate, and document policy files
- Respond promptly to agent and broker inquiries
- Analyze applications, claims information, and inspection reports




- Determine risk acceptability, policy terms, and pricing

Requirements:

- Two years of farm or agribusiness underwriting experience
- Post-secondary education or equivalent insurance experience
- Completed or progressing toward CIP designation
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, customer service, data entry, and computer skills
