Configure and troubleshoot VSD systems as a Journeyperson Electrician Automation Specialist at ChampionX in Lloydminster, Alberta, primarily at the facility.

This permanent, full time position supports electrical, automation, instrumentation, and communication equipment. You will work with motor controls, SMARTEN controllers, legacy Sensia VSDs, SCADA interfaces, RTUs, and artificial lift control systems. The work includes facility, customer-site, and remote-location assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, commission, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot control equipment
- Diagnose electrical, automation, instrumentation, and communication faults
- Complete preventive and corrective customer-equipment maintenance
- Conduct field testing and performance verification




- Document service reports, test results, and commissioning records

Requirements:

- Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician Certificate
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Industrial electrical experience with motor controls and VFD equipment
- Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, P&IDs;, and technical manuals
- Oil and gas, artificial lift, production automation, or field-service experience
