This Coherent Optical Systems Engineer role focuses on advanced transceiver design, development, characterization, and optimization. You will work with early-stage PIC, DSP, and analog ASIC hardware. The position combines digital-optical integration, calibration methodologies, control algorithms, and system-level performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform digital-optical integration of coherent optical transceivers
- Develop calibration and control algorithms
- Characterize SNR, OSNR tolerance, sensitivity, and related metrics
- Validate analog, control, optical, and DSP sub-components




- Analyze data and identify system performance improvements

Requirements:

- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related discipline
- Experience with optical communications, photonics, electronics, or systems engineering
- Understanding of coherent systems, QPSK, 16QAM, and 64QAM
- Hands-on optical communication hardware experience
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
