Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Brake Press Operator to support metal fabrication and manufacturing operations. The operator will set up and run a press brake machine to form metal parts to specification, follow production drawings, and help maintain safe, productive workflows. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality.

Job Overview

· Set up and operate a steel brake press to bend and shape metal sheets or plates to specific dimensions and angles.

· Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and other specifications to determine the correct bend sequences, angles, and depths.

· Ensure that the press is properly set up and calibrated, including selecting the correct tooling, adjusting the stroke length, and setting the back gauge.

· Load and unload materials onto and from the press, using cranes, forklifts, or other equipment as necessary.

· Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure that the parts meet the required specifications.

· Monitor the production process to ensure that parts are being produced to the required quality standards and take corrective action as necessary.

· Maintain and troubleshoot the press and related equipment, including performing routine maintenance, identifying and addressing mechanical issues,



and coordinating repairs with maintenance staff.

· Keep a record of production data, including the number of parts produced, their quality, and any issues encountered during production.

· Comply with all safety regulations and use personal protective equipment as required.

· Assist with other tasks as needed, such as material handling, grinding or deburring parts, and general cleanup.

In addition, when required:

- Assisting with welding, cutting, and machining operations.
- Preparing materials for fabrication, including measuring and cutting.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Sorting and organizing inventory and materials.
- Handling and transporting materials around the shop.
- Assisting with assembling and fitting components.
- Assisting with inventory management and ordering supplies.
- Providing general support to other departments as needed.
- Conducting routine maintenance tasks and repairs.
- Ensuring the workspace is clean, safe, and organized.
- Assist in general maintenance of all machines.
- Train in other departments such as, but not limited to, beveling.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
