Job description - 3rd Year to Journeyman Service Technician

Seven Mechanical is growing and looking for Commercial Refrigeration Technician for 3rd year to Journeymen.

Seven Mechanical is a premium professional Plumbing & HVAC construction and service company serving the greater Edmonton area. We are highly experienced in construction and service for commercial and industrial facilities, including shopping centers, warehouse, CRU TI improvements, hospitality, multi-family, medical, educational, and municipal applications.

About the Role:

Seven Mechanical is seeking to fill starter to Journeyman positions to work on our multifamily and commercial HVAC projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will possess a great work ethic, attention to detail and excellence in their work.

Responsibilities

Install HVAC/ Refrigeration systems, ductwork, and related components based on blueprints and specifications.

Follow safety protocols and industry standards.

Collaborate with other team members to accomplish daily and weekly construction goals.

Join our team as a Commercial HVAC/ Refrigeration Installer, where your skills will contribute significantly to our commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.

Installation: Install new refrigeration systems, including HVAC units, ice machines, and beverage equipment. This involves assessing the site, selecting appropriate equipment, and ensuring proper installation according to manufacturer specifications.

Maintenance: Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance. Perform routine checks, clean components, lubricate moving parts, and replace worn-out parts to prevent breakdowns.

Repair: When systems malfunction, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and carry out necessary repairs.



This requires a strong understanding of refrigeration cycles and electrical systems.

Troubleshooting: Must quickly identify and resolve issues with refrigeration systems, ensuring minimal downtime for clients. This includes reading and interpreting blueprints and compliance schematics.

Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems is essential, along with mechanical skills and experience with refrigeration tools.

Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting abilities are necessary to diagnose and fix issues efficiently.

Communication: Good communication skills are important for interacting with clients and explaining technical issues in an understandable manner.

Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations is essential. Technicians must handle refrigerants properly, maintain a safe working workplace, and follow all safety guidelines during installation and maintenance.

Qualifications:

Registered HVAC/Refrigeration Apprentice 3rd Year to Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic

Valid Alberta driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to work independently while contributing to a professional, team-based environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week, on call rotation
