We are seeking reliable General Labourers to support production and warehouse operations for our client in Vaughan. This hands-on role involves assisting with manufacturing, moving materials, and keeping work areas organized and protected. Training will be provided for site-specific procedures and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines after completing required training.
- Position and feed textile materials according to work instructions.
- Sew designated seams, edges and components to required specifications.
- Inspect stitching, alignment and finishing for defects.
- Identify loose threads, uneven seams and damaged materials.
- Separate defective products and report concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain an organized workstation and follow approved cleaning procedures.
- Meet reasonable production targets while maintaining quality and safety.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as required, including tasks not specifically listed in this job description.
Qualifications
- Previous industrial sewing or textile-production experience is preferred.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to learn designated machines and production methods.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada for the proposed employment and assignment.
Physical Requirements
- Repetitive hand, finger and foot movements.
- Prolonged sitting or standing, depending on workstation design.
- Ability to handle fabric and textile components.
- Occasional handling of larger materials may be required; packaged products can weigh approximately 19–28 kg (42–61lb), but handling frequency depends on the assigned duties.
- Ergonomic work practices and required lifting assistance must be followed.
