Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to transport goods throughout the warehouse
- Perform heavy lifting tasks with proper technique to maintain safety standards
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Assist with order picking by selecting items based on order specifications and ensuring correct quantities
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Support warehouse distribution processes by organizing stock for efficient storage and retrieval
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet daily operational goals
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform minor repairs or maintenance
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and shipment measurements
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing, walking, and working in a physically demanding setting
- Prior experience with order picking procedures and warehouse distribution processes is preferred
