Due to our continued growth, H-Line Enterprises is now looking to employ a full-time Health & Safety Manager, to ensure the safety of our Powerline Technician Crews, Utility Arborists Crews and Maintenance Shop staff. Based out of our Stratford Office. This position will require daily travelling to all crew work sites on Prince Edward Island.

Job Responsibilities:

· Lead and participate in workplace audits and investigations related to safety concerns, incidents, and accidents.

· Conduct workplace site-based inspections (Work Observations) to ensure that equipment, materials, and processes do not pose safety or health risks to employees or the public.

· Develop, maintain and implement comprehensive health and safety programs, including standard operating procedures, policies, and training, aimed at reducing risk, enhancing worker health and safety, and promoting a solid occupational health and safety culture.

· Communicate with, engage, and influence decision-makers and workers to ensure adherence to health and safety legislation and regulations.

· Document control and management of our Safety Management System SiteDocs.





· Chair and encourage staff participation in the company Safety Meetings and Joint Occupational Health & Safety Meetings.

· Monitoring of WHMIS & TDG.

· Liaise with customer safety personnel as and when required.

Qualifications:

· Knowledge of Canadian and PEI Health & Safety Acts and Regulations.

· Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.

· Valid passport.

· Valid driver’s license and drivers abstract.

· Willingness to travel to all areas of PEI.

· Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or related field (an advantage)

· Experience in safety: 5 years (preferred)
